The Care We Give. The Relief We Share
Shared Harvest mobilizes and deploys the healthcare workforce in times of disaster, pairing service with student-debt relief and wellness support. We strengthen the well-being and financial security of frontline professionals while helping communities recover and rebuild—turning compassion into collective recovery and creating a shared harvest of healing and hope.
ABOUT SHARED HARVEST

Shared Harvest Foundation is a 501(c)(3) social enterprise that empowers a trusted and diverse health workforce to restore care and connection where it’s needed most. We deploy clinicians, first responders, and students in times of disaster—pairing service with student-debt relief, wellness, and community resilience. By investing in those who have long carried the weight of care, we strengthen the nation’s capacity to heal, rebuild, and thrive together.

From emergency response to long-term recovery and systems change, we ensure nonprofits and grassroots efforts have the tools, talent, and technology to thrive. We believe that when we take care of the people doing the work, the work gets done right.

We also know that financial security is what makes service sustainable. When you're carrying the weight of student or medical debt, volunteering feels like a luxury. That’s why we create pathways for changemakers, students, career shifters, and seasoned professionals alike to receive stipends, earn loan forgiveness, and participate in paid apprenticeships and practicum experiences while serving their communities. Diverse voices are needed on the frontlines, and no one should have to choose between service and survival.

We also co-design human-centered technologies that amplify empathy, equity, and effectiveness across the care economy. We collaborate and integrate digital infrastructure that uses data ethics, AI transparency, and community-informed design. We advance technology built on trust, accessibility, and human dignity.
Our platforms transform fragmented systems into shared-value networks, where service, data, and funding flow equitably. Through AI-assisted analytics we help to inform that technology serves humanity—not the other way around—illuminating the unseen labor, stress, and compassion of the care workforce.

Our library of work includes tech-powered platforms, Debtfreelancer, myCovidMD, Jouvé, Jouvé Health, and HeyDENA, developed in collaboration with public interest technologists to address social determinants of health and build capacity across sectors.

"We turn financial strain into a catalyst for social impact—because equity means everyone should have the power to lead and serve. By eliminating debt as a barrier, we unlock the full potential of those ready to drive change." - Dr. Nana

OUR PROGRAM PILLARS
COMMUNITY-BASED EMERGENCY RESPONSE:
RECEIVING HEART-LED CARE
Our grassroots emergency response centers on mobilizing local leaders, care teams, and trained volunteers to deliver rapid, culturally competent support during times of crisis. From housing instability to mental health first aid, we ensure that underserved communities receive equitable, heart-led care when and where it’s needed most.

FINANCIAL EQUITY :
BREAKING THE DEBT BARRIER
At Shared Harvest, we invest in those who serve—because we believe the people closest to the challenges are also closest to the solutions. Through our Student Loan Debt Relief (SLDR) program, we provide loan repayment support to skilled volunteers and frontline care workers who show up for their communities, especially during emergencies. By easing the burden of student debt, we not only promote mental wellness but empower individuals to lead with purpose and stay rooted in service.
Our financial equity efforts are designed to close the intergenerational wealth gap by eliminating debt as a barrier to participation and leadership. We recognize that financial health is essential to overall well-being. By fostering collective responsibility and community-driven solutions, we create space for those most impacted to co-design what comes next—building lasting change through solidarity, not charity.
TECH FOR EQUITY :
CLOSING DIGITAL GAPS
Our suite of technological solutions (Disaster Care Management Network, Jouvé, & Jouvé Health) leverages public interest tech to close digital and systemic equity gaps. We empower communities by enhancing access to care, workforce opportunity, and emergency response tools while protecting the data of vulnerable communities. From student debt relief to culturally sensitive service networks, our platforms ensure that underserved populations can access vital resources, funding, and support, especially in times of crisis.

NARRATIVE IMPACT : AMPLIFYING VOICES THROUGH STORYTELLING
Through our StoryCare program, we empower the emergency workforce to share their experiences and insights, providing cohorts with expert guidance in developing narratives that foster understanding and change. This initiative provides expert guidance on screenplay development, health journalism, and manuscript writing.

WORKFORCE WELLBEING :
THRIVING HEALTHCARE HEROES
Our research into the future of work in healthcare aims to create better environments and reduce burnout. We support research and programming addressing the mental health and job satisfaction of healthcare workers and policies to eliminate medical education debt in order to produce and sustain a more diverse healthcare workforce.

Technological Solutions
Our Products:
Disaster Care Management Network, Our Community Recovery Solution builds a remote, culturally sensitive workforce of Disaster Care Managers, including case managers, policy advocates, and trauma-informed guides, who support families navigating housing, mental health, and systemic recovery post-disaster. Participants receive student loan relief or stipends, free training, and mentorship, turning volunteerism into purposeful service careers.
Jouvé, our Civic Technology solution, is designed to build long-term workforce capacity by connecting skilled volunteers with mission-driven opportunities. Through this platform, individuals can grow their professional impact, contribute to community resilience, and receive meaningful support toward student loan debt relief.

Jouvé Health (formerly myCovidMD), our Healthcare Workforce Technology platform, is designed to help organizations recruit, support, and retain diverse health professionals. By combining talent management tools with student debt relief strategies, we empower institutions to build stronger, more equitable teams while addressing the financial barriers facing today’s healthcare workforce.

Project #RESUS is on a mission to resuscitate medical pathway programs by sharing stories, building community for early
career physicians and facilitating a wellness curriculum for all first year residents. By providing these virtual wraparound tools, we support and sustain a diverse community of thriving medical practitioners who are financially and emotional well.
