Framingham High School Thayer Campus – Alternative High School, Framingham, MA- ELA Teacher
2018 – present

The Thayer Campus of Framingham High School is a small self-directed program, focused on dropout prevention and graduating at-risk students. My role as English Language Arts Teacher encompasses curricula from grades 9-12, social skills and resilience, and growth mindset.

Boston Museum of Science, Cambridge, MA- Visitor Services Specialist

The Museum of Science is an education-centered museum, which seeks to improve the world through entertainment and science education. My primary role is to ensure that all visitors feel heard, attended to, and have a positive experience.

Register and manage field trip experience for up to 3,000 students per day
Create cash and check reports, file and track coupon and voucher usage on a daily basis

 

Abby Kelley Foster Charter School,  Worcester, MA- 7th Grade ELA Teacher (non-contract)

Abby Kelley is a charter middle school with a strong focus on standards and reporting. My innovative student programs introduced over 20 students to Improv Theatre in a guided weekly club, and 40 students to independent creative writing in the National Novel Writing Month Young Writers’ Program.

Developed and implemented 180 days worth of lessons for 60 students aligned with state and Common Core standards

Commerce is a public high school with an economically disadvantaged student population. My full inclusion curriculum, supported by my weekly standards-based meetings with parents and administrators, resulted in a 90% pass rate for these at-risk students.

Developed and facilitated curriculum for over 120 students in a full inclusion classroom
Interfaced with school administration and parents weekly to ensure quality standards were being met
Created curriculum for Evening Scholars and Summer Scholars programs for nontraditional students, grades 9-12, and reported graduation readiness to administration, 95% of students graduated after program completion
After one year of teaching, selected as Team Teaching Panel presenter  at the National High Schools That Work Conference 2014

Verizon Wireless is a large telecommunications company with a substantial retail presence. My role as a Customer Care Representative ranged from sales to inventory management to technical support.

Artistic Experience

ComedyCazi, Somerville, MA- Cast member & co-director
2016 – Present

ComedyCazi is a sketch comedy and improv troupe that writes, rehearses, and performs in Somerville. We are fully collaborative, each member takes turns directing pieces for our monthly shows at Comicazi in Davis Square.

ImprovBoston, Cambridge, MA- Tech director, Front-of-House staff
2016 – 2018

ImprovBoston is a nonprofit comedy theater in Cambridge. As a technical director, I am in charge of the lights and sound during shows, making rapid in-the-moment technical decisions. As a front-of-house staff member I alternate between the box office, ushering, and bartending.

Hampshire Shakespeare Company, Amherst, MA- Cast member
2015

The Hampshire Shakespeare Company is located in the Pioneer Valley. It works closely with the University of Massachusetts Amherst  Renaissance Center to create outdoor performances that are simultaneously elegant and casual.

2010 – 2013

As a member of the board I directed, stage managed, and supervised the budget for collaboratively chosen programming each season.  As a cast member, I spent my time designing and building sets and costumes, hanging and programming lights, and running publicity in print and on air.
