PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Build & Release Engineer February 2017 – Present
Verizon Digital Media Services, Playa Vista, CA
As a Build & Release Engineer, I am part of a software engineering team. I participate in coding and
development operations (DevOps). When updates are completed, I update the code repositories and
build related packages for release to the customer’s production software. I contribute to automation
projects to enhance reliability of software releases. DevOps tasks relate to High Reliability
Organizations theory, which enables me to implement my research in a software engineering context
using Agile development practices in a Scrum environment.

Associate Director of Communications September 2007 – January 2017
Pepperdine University School of Law, Malibu, CA
Hired as the Web Services Manager, I built up the role to include the newly installed electronic digital
signage system, and led the university’s digital signage efforts. I supervised website and digital signage
teams, known for efficiency and quality of service. I developed cross-device digital marketing
campaigns for high-profile campus events including conferences that featured former and current U.S.
Supreme Court Justices. I developed and supported social networking strategy on Facebook, Foursquare,
and Twitter and provided IT support for faculty, students, and staff. I developed policies, procedures,  and best practices standards for web and digital signage. In 2015 I was promoted to the new Communications department, where I continued providing technology support, and expanded the law
school’s digital footprint on social media. Some of my key successes include:
– Developed internal campus announcements site
– Led the successful university vendor search for digital signage from a subsidiary school
– Presented at national digital signage and law library technology conferences
– Managed an interactive touch screen display project featuring faculty scholarship
– Maintained Facebook fan page with over 4,000 likes
– Developed and published over 2,000 digital signage campaigns since 2007Converted website code from JSP to PHP

Corporate Services Analyst

supported business development projects including annual reports, business registration, and loan
applications. I maintained research and medical records databases in MS Access, and provided IT
support for executive officers. Some of my key successes include:
– Coordinating the first two international conferences for High Reliability Organizations
– Supervising the maintenance of IRB qualifications for the research team

– Contrbuting to multiple research poster projects that were presented at national conferences
