PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Level Up Development March 2017 – Present
Jr. Solutions Engineer | 5/2017 – Current
Helped build 3 apps (React, React-Native, Redux, Node etc.) with a hand in each portion of the development while working closely with fellow developers to assure the best of code quality allowed in the time frame given for the task at hand. Project Responsibilities include:
– React, React Native development, Web/Mobile Accessibility, Application Analytics, and Manual QA
Created a private NPM package to allow our team to quickly access the micro services we built to further speed up the prototype and initial building phase of our client’s apps. Used Typescript and Node to build this.
Helped build a report platform for our internal use, using .NET Core and C#. Hooked into Jira and Tempo API’s to extract information.
Jr. QA/Developer | 3/2017 – 5/2017
Worked part-time during initial 6 weeks as I was a TA (and wanted to honor that commitment to The Iron Yard) learning Appium and Selenium, while concurrently manual testing apps and projects.
The Iron Yard September 2016 – May 2017
Front-End Engineering Teacher’s Assistant | 1/2017 – 5/2017
Main duty was assisting students that needed more one-on-one attention to further grasp HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Volunteered time to instruct youth courses on the weekends to further fuel students’ fires about programming, while also reinforcing my own newly acquired knowledge.
Front-End Engineering Student | 10/2016 – 12/2016
This was an intensive, 12-week Front-End Engineering coding boot-camp consisting of multiple team based programs. Primarily, the program focused on using JavaScript and React. In addition, we had the opportunity to interact with multiple developers, especially Ruby on Rails developers, in the Indianapolis area.
VOLUNTEER WORK
The Last Mile June 2018 – Present
Worked with incarcerated women 2-3 times a week to help aid their learning of programming (HTML5, JS, React, Node). Helped with homework, as well as, other questions and ideas they had come to mind in the world of technology.
