My name is C.J. and I am a graduate of UCLA and Pepperdine with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Communications. After completing grad school I was actually terrified of my student loans. I thought that if I just ignored them then they would go away. After a couple of years of reading about financial freedom, money manifestation, and building wealth, I finally decided that I wanted to be completely debt free and move toward accumulating assets. After paying off the last $8,000 of my car loan, I decided that I would finally begin to put my full focus on paying off my student loans. After spending my days and nights doing research on how I could earn extra money to pay off my student loans, I came across Shared Harvest Fund. I decided to try it out because I am a very determined person so once I set a goal, there is no stopping me. I was attracted to this opportunity because it allowed me to tackle two goals of mine at once: earn extra money to help pay off my student loans and volunteer for nonprofit organizations. I have always wanted to volunteer for a nonprofit organization and this was the perfect opportunity for me. After signing up for Shared Harvest Fund I was soon contacted by Arts Bridging the Gap, which is a non profit organization that focuses on bringing quality arts programs to children in underserved communities in order to improve their quality of life, academic success, and future prospects. I have been working with Arts Bridging the Gap on their social media posts during their mural painting events. It has been such a pleasure to work with Georgia, the Executive Director, the children in the communities, and all the people that help make Arts Bridging the Gap so successful. I’ve even gotten the opportunity to express my creativity by helping with the mural projects. Arts Bridging the Gap is a wonderful organization and I love attending these mural paintings because it allows me to be a part of something that will leave an impression on the City of Los Angeles for many years to come. I look forward to all the exciting opportunities that come with joining Shared Harvest Fund. It warms my heart that I was able to join two organizations, Shared Harvest Fund and Arts Bridging the Gap, that will positively impact many lives for many years to come.
